Subject: Seductively Drawn - Volume 55 RELEASED!

It's been a while.

So I started off with a few images Curious had brought to my attention, and then I went hunting, ending up with well over 20 images.

Then the fun started. Duplicates. When I was collecting for this volume, I sort of recognized some, but wasn't sure, some were used as cover images for stories with different titles, and in those cases, I always chose better quality. But honestly, it's not only getting hard to locate new content, but, harder and harder to weed out duplicate images. It's easier if I search by Artist, but still time-consuming.

20+ became 11.

Ten of them are here. I don't think I've duplicated any, but I'm not 100% sure. Sorry if I have.

Enjoy the art, there are a few decent ones in there, several of which I wish had been better prints and scans. Pulp fiction publishers typically skimped on quality to keep their costs down, and folks who scanned the images worked with what they had, I guess.

Heh, if the Noble Leaf Library was a publishing house, I'd probably have an Art department.

I wonder if smoking fetish fiction had of been a thing back in the day, what sort of art would have been commissioned for the covers, and by which artists. Would have been cool to go down to your local newsagent or book shop to pick up the latest monthly edition of New Smoke City for a couple of dollars. Imagine the fiction that might have been written…

I've tossed around the idea over the last couple of years, of producing a few art compilation volumes, like one or two for dames in red dresses, stuff like that, but pretty much every volume in the series has at least one.

Anyway, another volume for you all to enjoy, might be another while before the next. Aside from duplicate-hunting, I do enjoy putting these together, makes a nice change from words.

Nick
