Here are some plot summaries that could be useful for authors. Generic titles are used.

Inkspot

A smoker joins a group of non-smokers and gets one or more of them to take up the habit.

Surrounded

This is the inverse of the previous plot idea, a non-smoker joins a group of smokers and eventually takes up the habit.

Intervention (Type One)

This is the idea I've floated a few times earlier and is included for completeness, an anti-smoking intervention that results in the non-smoker taking up the habit.

Intervention (Type Two)

An intervention to prevent someone from abandoning the habit.

Intervention (Type Three)

After someone has failed to abandon the habit, a friend or friends dissuade them from ever trying again.
