Subject: Interesting interaction at gas station.

Went to pick up a pack of cigarettes. The regular cashier who's younger, although still probably around my age id guess late twenties, was working today shes kinda cute with braces was working. I asked for my cigarettes and she sees me often enough to recognize me but she still likes to confirm what I want because I mumble a little bit cause of my anxiety. Today she said back "Marlboro reds" as usual but then added "Can I have one?" I nervously just said no. She played it off like she wasn't serious anyway. I dont even know if she smokes but I think I've seen her with a vape before so maybe or maybe shes curious.

If she was serious it might be because cigarette tax brought the price up two dollars this month so Marlboro is over 13 dollars. I think this time last year they were close to 9 dollars and most people have provably moved to discount brands or at least the special selector or black Marlboro which ten to be somewhat cheaper.

I have kinda been imagining her with a Marlboro red between her lips since being home. Maybe if she asks again when its slower I might try to work up the courage to see if she can take a break and I can join her.
