Something Lost Something Gained (Azilwen) - A Review

Part One - The Author

Azilwen was one of the newer crop of smoking fetish writers active on Reddit when they first appeared. Their writing includes smoking fetish themed fanfic and anime inspired fiction often containing a certain amount of graphic sex usually of a lesbian nature.

Part Two - Something Lost Something Gained

The story which to this reviewers knowledge first appeared in Vol. 150 of the Noble Leaf Library. For Kali, the loss of her partner was devastating, a chance find brings her the opportunity to find comfort in something the partner did, will she take the opportunity?

Part Three - Comments

The first thing that caught this reviewers attention was the unusual spelling of the deceased partners name(1) which bought the fiction of author An4 to mind as did the authors reference to the aborted version of the story featuring a ghost teaching the protagonist to smoke.(2)

While I am interested in seeing what the author might have come up with in this line, this reviewer agrees with the author that the approach chosen where the habit is embraced as a way to memorialize the dead is far stronger.

Recommended.

Notes:

1. 'Racheal' which if the internet is to be believed is an older, rarer, variant of 'Rachel'.
2. An04 wrote two stories that featured 'smoking ghosts'. The first was entitled 'Directions' and can be found in Vol. 4 of the 'Anthology of An4' in the Noble Leaf Library, the second which I've provisionally titled 'Helen' after the protagonist as it was released piecemeal without the author identifying it as a single story can be found in Vols. 4 & 5 of the 'Anthology of An4'.
