Post Scriptum: If anyone cares, I still have to copy a couple of things off my daily driver, and migrate my user accounts over to the new machine before it's earned a rest.
At some point I'll get the CPU re-pasted, it's running a bit hot (after about a decade). It's got a RAM upgrade sitting here too, 16 gig going to 64. And I have to replace the SSD at some point, easily done, just got to find a suitable solution, bloody Apple and their proprietary sh*t!
I will probably Ethernet or Thunderbolt everything over, should only take a few hours, then hopefully I'll be back in business. Might get a bit of gaming in, too. Haven't done that in a while, not enough hours in the day.
