Subject: One Month Until Trevor Reunion Story

Four years ago, when I wrapped up the 20-chapter Trevor series in the format I intended, I hinted at the likelihood of doing a reunion story set five years later. I have followed through on that intention and put together the reunion story. If each of the 20 chapters of the original series was like an episode of a TV show, this reunion story is more like a feature film. It runs more than 62,000 words in length, double the length of even the longest chapters of the series.

I'm giving a month's advance warning for a couple of reasons. First of all, I'm gonna have company for two weeks in February and won't be able to give and receive feedback in real time until the guest leaves. Second, I'd recommend to fans either a full re-reading or at least a solid skimming of the 20 chapters of the series as the reunion story features callbacks to multiple scenes and plots from the series. At the very least, I'd recommend revisiting Chapter 20 to see where things left off at the end of the series.

I'm extremely pleased with how this reunion story turned out, but I can also imagine some readers who would prefer that the coming-of-age narrative of the 20-part series with its mostly teenage cast of characters remain self-contained. I wouldn't be offended by any fan of the series who wants to pass on the reunion story for this reason, but I think most people who got into the characters and themes of the original series will be up for the reunion story. I'll be back in about four weeks to post it.
