Subject: Female Smoking in Video Games 2026

A few quick updates to the list to start off 2026, we have Paz Yuraq's last contribution now added to the PDF, as well as One that Got Away, a short fan-made game inspired by the legendary Kathy Rain series that came so close, but didn't quite make it.

Described as "a point and click adventure game based on a native American reserve in northern Quebec", this is a free itch.io game with clear influences from Kathy Rain. The protagonist, Karina, has a bit of a Kathy flavor, and picks up cigarettes and a lighter as usable items during the course of the game. Unfortunately, although there are several smoking male characters, neither she nor any of the other female characters smoke during the game.
