One new story this month, thanks Baz!

There's a fairly reasonable balance between Smokedawg and Listenmanuk in this one.

34 items left in the filler pool, so five or six months at best.

A bit of forewarning, Volume 132 looks like it's going to be all Listenmanuk, I hit a large chunk of nine stories, I have no idea of the order they come in, the author didn't do anything in that regard, apart from two stories, parts 4 and 5, it's a real pain in the arse. I think I've thrown a couple of random stories from this series into other volumes, I couldn't make sense of the reading order, so it is what it is. I may as well just bung in another story and push the volume out early, then wait and see what happens for May. Without interruption, it might even happen tonight. I just want to have it out of the way.

New (decent) fiction has been so scarce of late, it's been disheartening. There have been other stories written, but most have been quite smutty, focusing more on the sex, than the smoking. And yes, I know sex has a part to play in many of these stories, but in my mind's eye, I would rather watch ladies smoke, than f*ck. And you all know how I feel about AI.

Also, the dropbox account I use for the library is running out of space, I reckon I might be okay with the free space I have left, but things are going to get tight. And if anything big drops, which is likely, I don't want things to suddenly stop syncing, and have to shuffle. That can and will get tedious.

So, if you want to save me future tedium…

Every new sign-up, assuming the link still works, gets an extra 500MB, and I get the same, well, the library gets the same. You'll be helping future-proof the Library and get free sh*t, win-win. At least consider it.

Anyway, Enjoy the story, stories!

I guess when the filler pool dries up, that'll be it, unless people start writing again. I'll keep my hand in so the cloud sources stay up, so I won't be stepping away completely. As I've said before, releases of NSC will become erratic, but I will still release stuff, preserved articles, whatever hits my desktop, and there may be the possibility of one final update to SBD, something really useful, but I'm not holding my breath in anticipation.

I guess I'd best get started on 132, and 133 for May.

It'll be 20 years, come mid-year.

A while back, when things peaked, I thought I'd still be doing this a century from now, I'd still be at it out of sheer bloody-mindedness, even if I was reduced to being a brain in a jar, connected to a computer. Would that make me undead?

Grr. Arg. New Smoke City - Volume 1132.

In a hundred years, who's gonna care, amiright?

At least I might get laid virtually…

With a bit of luck, Humanity won't destroy itself between now and then. Bloody Humans…

I stand apart.

Nick
