It's a bit of a sad tale, but it has a hopeful ending.
Baz says also, that this true tale is rather similar to the fictional 'But I don't smoke', and from what I remember of that, he's not wrong.
These stories are always interesting to read, as it always gives some insight into the way the real world actually works.
