Actually LPG can be thought of as NG with a bent elbow. Just as there are a variety of conventional styles,
e.g. walter Hagen and Ben Hogan (different styles but both
considered conventional) so can LPG be thought of as a variation on the same theme.
Set up with a slightly narower stance than with NG,
take the club back up and in till your hands get as close to
your rear shoulder as youir anatomy allows, then simply toss the ball down the fairway and make sure you're looking at the ball thru impact. This will keep your shoulders parallel to the line and make it difficult for the ball to go anywhere but stsraight. In the "on top" position you look almost exaclty like a baseball player. Your left shoulder turns to a point under your chin. It would be a good idea to
cock your head so that you are looking mostly with your left eye. This will move your head over your rear knee and keep your weight back.
If you're playing LPG you're not discarding NG, your simply playing a different style of NG.
