Subject: NG and the overlap grip

I was wondering if anyone is using an overlap grip like Moe Norman used to during his best years in Canadian Tour golf? What kind of success, or failure, have you had with an overlapping grip with NG? If you are using an overlap grip then is it safe to assume that extra long shafts are not required since there is no separation in the grip?
