Go ahead and spend $1,800 on "genuine" Natural Golf clubs. I wouldn't spend that much even if I didn't have kids approaching college age. You can spend half that and buy a nice set of Pings or Fat Shafts. Personally, I spent a fraction of that on custom-made "imitation" clubs from Trencher (Dynacraft Copperhead CUs with Royal Precision shafts) and they are sweet. My handicap has dropped 6-8 shots in the two months I've been playing them. It's now an average round when I don't flirt with the 70s and a bad day if I'm not under 85. As many people on this forum have stated, regardless of the quality of Natural Golf clubs, they ARE NOT competitively priced with anything. I still get all the NG magazines, promos, etc. because I'm on their mailing list. But I'm not biting.
