Thanks for the replies, they were helpful but also spawned more questions. I wasn't aware that my current clubs could be extended but I will look into that. I use graphite shafts and wonder how an extension would affect them. I intend to put the big grips on my clubs. A message on this board stated that big-grip.com had better prices than NG. When looking at their web site, their grips were only slightly less than NG and you get an instructional manual with a set of grips from big-grip. NG gives you a 9 iron with the purchase of a set of grips. Has anyone purchased Big-grip and their instructional manual? How does it compare to the LOBG package. As far as learning the NG swing, I feel I am making good progress. I have played four rounds with the swing. My scores have not improved (mostly because of poor putting) but I am hitting my driver 20-30 yards farther and straight. I am also hitting my long irons better. I am having a tendancy to hit thins shots with my short irons and I think this is mainly a setup problem (ball too far forward in stance). I would like to get my clubs altered or purchase new clubs so I can spend the upcoming long Michigan winter practicing the swing. Any and all comments on grips, club alteration, etc would are welcome. Thanks Carl
