That is a good question. Like I said, I am a very good long iron player, however, it seems impossible to mis-hit any shots with these fairway woods. The woods are all the same length - 40". I actually hit the #5 and #3 woods farther than my previous woods. Until I purchased this set I'd never used a #7 or #9 wood. Distance is consistent throughout the set of woods, but I really love the high trajectory and soft landing of the woods over the more boring trajectory of long irons. As far as the irons are concerned the same applies. My distance is a little longer with my new irons and the fact that I am using only one swing is fantastic. I get a consistent yardage gap between the irons even though they are all the same length. The irons are all 36-1/2". I thought that I would hit the PW and #9 iron too far because of the club length, but this is not the case. All in all I would have to say that this set provides me with a level of consistency that I had never experienced before.
