And the variation of CG as taught by John Redmond, Percy Boomer, and David Lee have you gripping the club as light as possible and in Redmonds case the club is only taken back with the turn of the hips, and if done correctly the clubhead will actually lag behind.

Only then can you really whip the passive, hands, arms and club through the ball.
