Subject: New Drill, random drug tests should be required!

Talk about two drills that work counter to each other, GC to ingrain a release, Leverage to prevent it! These brainiacs at NG really are clueless! They need to check the water cooler at Shill and Sycophant headquarters, it appears that someone has slipped some crystal meth into it and the instructional staff is now delusional!

Leverage Drill

To properly execute the Leverage drill you assume your setup position with any club.

Take the club to the top of your backswing. You should have at least a 90 degree angle between the shaft of your club and your leading arm (left arm for most)at the top of your swing.

Then you try to maintain this angle on the downswing moving VERY SLOWLY until you stop with your hands and trailing elbow in front of your hip farthest from target (right for most people). The club at this point should be above horizontal to the ground. You should try to hold this position for about ten seconds and then slowly move the clubhead down to where it started behind the ball.

From there you move the club back to the top of the swing and repeat the motion a few more times holding the angle on the way down each time, until on the last repetition you finally swing through letting the angle release through to your finish position.

Always do this drill without golf balls. Focus on holding the angle. Do this drill at home for a few weeks daily in front of a mirror. It will get into your swing automatically. Do NOT think about this on the golf course.
