Are these or aren't these the four fundementals of the NG swing method, and is Sandy Lyle doing any of these? Video examination of him of just this last week end at the Scottish Open reveals this.

#1. Wide stance.

Sandy has normal CG stance.

#2. Holds the club in the trail hand palm set at a 45*.

Sandy holds the clunb in his fingers in a ten finger CG grip.

#3. Club held in a Single Axis position at address.

Sandy hold the club in his fingers and then attempts, but fails to achieve SA by bending his trail wrist down in full ulnar deviation. The butt of the club is still clearly visable from in back of him facing down the line, indicating no SA set up.

#4. Face the ball at impact.

Are you kidding? Sandy has spun his hips almost wide open by the time the ball is struck, just as any CG player would do.

Sandy is in no way, shape or form an SA golfer, and to tout him as a poster boy for SA golf is ludicrus.

What's next, if Jim Furyk is on the skids, can NG scoop him up, slap a few NG clubs in his bag and call him an NGer too?
