Sandy Lyle is a great player, period. The only sign that he's remotely moving toward NG, or more accurately SA, is a ten fingered grip. the ten-finger grip is not a prerequisite for SA golf.

Lyle is a consumate pro...NG he isn't...yet. to me he'll be NG (SA) when he has the so-called palm grip in the so called single axis set up.

I'd dig seeing him in full SA, read NG, BGG, whatever bloom! Would show that one player is capable of playing world-class golf at least loosely based on what I'm playing.
