Author: ED LASKODY
Subject: A MODEST PROPOSAL

I am offering my detractors a golden opportunity.

My book has been reviewed most favorably on the Natural
Golf Chat Forum by a poster there who is widely respected.
Unfortunately, some members really cannot accept this favorable review and believe it to be somehow fraudulent.
I then made the following proposal to the forum members there. For the first four guys who can get their email addresses to me, I will send them a copy of my fictional and instructional work in exhange for, get this,
the most negative review that they can possibly come up with. The only condition is that you do not state conclusions like the book stinks, is irrelevant, boring etc.
When lawyers make arguments in court, they do not usually state conclusions. Instead it is their job to convince jurors to come to these conclusions themselves. So, you can
believe anything you want, but you must use logical reasoned arguments based on the text in front of you to get the "jurors" to reach the conclusion you want them to.
Fair enough? If you read the responces by some of these folks in responce to Fuzzys review, you will conclude that it is not.
The fellow posting just below my posting goes on to do
just what I cautioned them not to do. He calls the book the
worst one he has ever read without any justifiable accompanying argument and in so doing is claiming that his perception is superior to those of some of the best known golf teaching pros in America.
I will extend the same offer to members of this forum
only they must post their responces in the NG chat forum under the post that Fuzzy made reviewing my book.
You of course, can also post here and on the SA forum, or anywhere else for that matter.
I of course will be allowed to respond to these
"negative" criticisms.
Ed Laskody PS much is made of my posting under aliases. I have done this for a number of reasons. Most likely I am doing it because my posts have been blocked or
somehow disappear in transit. Sometimes my post has a much better chance of getting there under another name. Of course, I realize that people will recognize my writing style. However, I have never used an alias to state that my
literary works and teaching methods are superior. All of those posts have been made by other golfers, some of which are internatioonally known.
