I don't get a commision from BGG. Tom just happened to be one of the best NG instructors before he went on his on to start BGG. Until you take a lesson from him, how could you judge his ability?

Holding the angle as long as possible increases club head speed and does not cause a blocked shot. I do the BGG drills often and I only hit the ball stright.

The reason the pros get so much distance is that the hands are ahead of the ball when the release of the angle occurs.

The club head speed comes from the release of the angle and most high handicap golers release the angle too soon. Any drill they can do to delay the release will increase distance.

I have not seen where NG teaches to release the angle. NG in the past has taught to hold off the release as long as possible. The release will happen!

There is a drill in the new NG tape that helps hold the angle. It is the best drill on the tape. Buy the tape and learn to stop your blocked shots.

Hit it straight.
