So to offset the heavy clubhead, Moe lengthened the shafts to keep the swing weight somewhat reasonable, although his are still E1's according to people who know him.

Moe then chokes down on all of his clubs to the point where they would actually be normal length or shorter. A by product of this is the advantage Remington mentioned, where you have with the visable reference you can use with the inch or two of butt sticking out from your hands.
