Fact is, I was heavily influenced by the 1995 Golf Digest tape, and I used to think (wrongly) like you think.

You see, if you are going to argue that the swinging of the arms will define the body motion you have to deal with the fact that the body is moving forward three frames before the arms swing. In other words, the arms and hands cannot possibly define the body motion because the body is already moving forwards.

Further, in this regard, if you are going to argue that there is an "anticipatory" move, when the arms and hands define the motion of the body, then, you have to argue that the arms are either still, or, moving in a forward direction. So that is obviously not the case because when Moe is rotating forward, with his lower unit, his arms are still going BACKWARDS. Backwards moving members are not defining the forward motion of the swing.

That's why it is so important to have Chazman over on this forum explaining these issues to all of us so that we don't go around saying that Moe was the first NGer. Jim, I know you are thankful to the Chaz, as am I.

Remington
