Just want to give some advice to the people wanting to purchase Dalton's custom made clubs. I enjoyed watching and studying the tapes. The early release was very hard for me to do since I was so use to "delaying" my swing and hitting in to my left side and letting my hands roll over naturally. I did practice the early release a lot on the range but got frustrated and went back to my other swing. That was about 5 years ago and I am still struggling with my "other" swing. I have always been athletic but golf seems to be a hard sport for me.Having a hard time with a consistent swing. I recently started watching the tapes again and Im gonna give it another try. Im 42 now and I need to develop a consistent, easy swing. I enjoy golf but I get so sore from trying to swing too hard. A lot of times I feel I have to manufacture a swing, not good. But I wanted to give advice to those of you who want to purchase daltons clubs. I purchased a "used" set over the phone with one of their reps in Chicago. She asked me my height and how far i could hit a 7 iron. Thats it. I was so desperate for a better game i didnt care about the price. So she said she had a used set that a 6 foot man gave up. She said they should still fit me fine, Im 5'll. People, you cant get fitted over the phone! I think the set was missing a five iron which they sent to me later, but the lie angle was different than the other clubs. Yes, I got suckered! She made commission and I lost over 1500 dollars for a set of used clubs that still didnt fit my swing. I tried hard to find a swing with those clubs but they just werent for me. I was too embarrased to tell the club pro how much I paid for the clubs. He told me he could fit me with clubs to fit my swing. I spent another 1500 dollars on a set of Henry-Griffits, irons AND woods. Those clubs did improve my game. Why? They were fitted to "MY" swing. Henry-Griffiths has a good club fitting program as well does Ping. The Henry's can also be "bent" or adjusted if needed. Thats a plus. My point people is that you need personal hands on instruction when it comes to club fitting. Dont get suckered like I did. But as I said, I like Daltons philosophy on the swing and Im gonna get my clubs(Henry's) adjusted to fit my new swing, again. Good luck people
