I tried learning strictly from watching the LOBG video and reading the book. It involved alot of trial and error. I recently ordered Todd/Tim Graves' new videos. The 'Golf School Video' was far superior than the LOBG package in actually demonstrating the swing. Also, Todd really breaks down the grip, set-up, and full swing in very easy to follow terms. I immediately recognized several things to SUBTRACT from my swing instead of ADDING to it.

If you don't want to spend any more money, here's the most important thing I learned watching and listening to Todd - the swing is ALL in the arms. All other movements are simply to stabilize what you are doing with your arms and to allow for your arms' movement. When learning from the LOBG, I was always hung up on trying to ensure that I rotated my shoulders enough so that my lead shoulder was beneath my chin while at the top of the backswing. I was also conscious of trying to instigate a lateral slide with my hips and legs. This led to inconsistent shots.

Swing with your arms and let your body react naturally. Your body will know when to stop turning your shoulders and you will slide naturally as your weight shifts through the swing. All you need to focus on is hitting the ball.

It's becomes very simple when you watch Moe or Todd.

Hope this helps!
