HOw many lessons? Some folks don't learn off of videos.
There are certain problems common to ANY kind of swing. For example, if you don't learn how to swing your arms and have some understanding of "release" you're gonna have a problem with any kind of swing. Conversley if you can
do these things you can probably execute ANY kind of swing
decently.
It does not seem that if you are having a problem with a relatively "easy" swing which NG obviously is, does it make any sense to go back to learning how to execute a more complex swing.
Going back to basics is a good idea if you mean by
that you're gonna learn to swing your arms and release because as I said that will help you with any swing.
You should check out big-gripgolf.com or kuykendallgolf.com or even my site golfisking.com which links to my instructional site http://kss.fws1.com ( be sure
to read the endorsements of my teaching methods)
If you can hit a softball with a bat, you can learn
to consistently strike a golf ball using an alternative method ( all of which are just different versions of NG by the way). To go back to CG is to get on the Merry Go Round and stay there.
It took me a couple of years to learn my swing, but now I can do it in much the same way a child rides a bike.
