That and many more horror stories about a gross lack of quality control coming out of NG club making operation, is certainly nothing new.

One previous regular here, Warren (who is a clubmaker himself), went through three seperate sets of NG sticks, finding each had lofts, lies and swing weights all completely off.

When he complained to NG they sent him a new set of 450's, for gratis, he thought that these were ok, as far as the specs, until a head came off one of his clubs, hitting his playing partner in the ear causing stitches!
