You indicate that Earnest Jones was a failure. I am mearly pointing out that he was extremely successful as a teacher. Unfortunately his book fails to communicate the swing that he taught. He said that there is only one swing either you have it or you don't. He also said that it took a trained eye to be able to tell if a player had it or not. He would have certainly disagreed with the way that Hogan taught the swing in his books. But he would tell you that Hogan had the swing, regardless of how he learned it.
