Sure I will excuse you as you are very interesting fellow when you get your dander up. So, Earnest Jones was a complete failure as teacher, except for a few unfortunate women who fell under his spell? Makes a lot of sense. Lets see half hour lessons all day every day for many, many years, hmmm, must have been a lot of girls playing golf on east coast back then.
The fact is that Jones was an excellent teacher who had tremondous success teaching average people to play and enjoy the game of golf. As a matter of fact he felt that once a student had it, the student no longer needed any lessons at all. Unlike most pros Mr. Jones was not looking for repeat business.
Let me put it this way: Jones was one of the top golf teachers who ever lived period.
