I have experienced similar frustrations. Last year I took lessons from 2 separate CI's and each seemed to be teaching a completely different method..one was a puller and the other was a pusher. On top of that, both were total hacks themselves.
I think there is difficulty finding qualified CI's that teach a uniform format, adn actually know how to play good golf. All those guys wanted me to do was buy more expensive equipment. Instead of a lesson, it was a 30 minute sales pitch!
