Chaz is right about the finish.

I have just reviewed my Moe Norman tape, Peter Fox NG book, the NG Student Manual, LOBG tap and book and both Golf Academy Live NG presentations Ken/Jerry and Jerry/ Shawn

I then returned to the NG tip #6 e-mail. The backswing is the same as shown in all of the above. Just look at the LOBG book p. 44. However, the follow through (post separation) is not shown on the tapes or in the books other than in the context of the full swing. And the full swing shows the club ending up in a position with the shaft vertical. That is NOT as much rotation as shown in tip #6. Even more interestingly, Ken makes the comment in the GAL show that "Moe never feels like he is doing that (turning his right wrist over his left), but tape of him hitting the ball shows he is to a degree (enough to get the club shaft vertical).

I have to conclude that the e-mail tip #6 is at best misleading and could cause some to add wrist rotation to their NG swing thereby adding back some of the complexity of the conventional swing.

I have always noticed that the NG literature didn't talk much about how to finish the swing. It seems to me that it should be just like finishing a tennis forearm swing (without topspin), that is, just as shown in ALL of the NG literature and tapes EXCEPT e-mail tip #6.

Happy New Year to all!
