Interesting how this thread has progressed (or digressed, depending on your point of view). The most interesting thing here is how out of 7 paragraph in my original post, only one has even been debated. (the patent thing). I have done my own research and have found that yes the patent was updated. I have ordered a copy form the U.S patent office under the freedom of information act. I cant wait till it comes in. Knowing how slow gov. offices tend to be it may be a little while.

The main point was in the last paragraph of my original post. I have only seen one person comment on it. It seems we are all weekend hackers here who are looking for a way to play golf to minimize our embarresment in front of friends on the course. For some it is NG, others it is Sci-Golf and still others it is CG. It doesn't matter which style we use as long as it works for the individual. My attraction to NG is that never once did and NG employee tell me in order to use the NG style I had to purchase NG clubs. So many other club makers make the claim that to improve I have to use this or that club. The ability to play golf does not come from a better club. It comes from practice, patience and diligence. You don't even have to be an athlete to play golf. I know plenty of hadicapped people who play. You can't say that about to many other sports.
