a swing method first developed by a golf instructor from the 30's and 40's named Ernest Jones. His swing is a hand and arm swing which is very much done like you are swinging a pedulum. This swing is very smooth, very easy on the body and very much dependent on having good tempo and timing, which leaves about 99.9% of the hacks out there, including me, in the lurch.

I tried it, and it wasn't very reliable for me, although the occasional good shot you did get, it felt completely effortless.
