See, that's another difference - instead of restricting and limiting contestants from more opportunities, by removing the bondage and shackles known as Miss America, is very liberating. You have to give up your title before competing in MAOT (even if you have competed at the others National or state pageant). We know this first hand and did give up our MAOT title to compete.
