So many moms talking this weekend about being upset with being told the same things about how their child will win the big one. CH will spin it all around and away from her by the end of the weekend by blaming things on her staff help like always. Watch those score sheets when you get them she won't take the blame on those either. Stay up late Saturday night and see who hangs out while the tabulation goes on and you will be surprised. Someone is going to hide a recording device in that room before it is all over one year to expose everything.

I’m glad my daughter received a title don’t get me wrong but those scores was pure bs . My daughter recieve 99 98 in categories she definitely didn’t deserve. And that shows me that give everyone good scores and pick their winners . Yes we were warned, but we can still share our experiences. Sashes were crooked and looked very rushed. A good amount of people didn’t recieve their sashes . Now there were custom crowns but everybody didn’t get a custom. Overall the Event just seemed very rushed and thrown together. A lot of the people working the event had no idea what was going on. Love that they honor royalty but the whole music number looked a hot mess and was uncalled for. Way too much money coming in for a thrown together event. As far as the fees you alll didn’t have to enter them you chose to, so people complaining about spending thousands didn’t have to , to win ..

They huddle up every year at this pageant and handpick the winners while you all are in your rooms late on Saturday night. Cheryl needs to figure out her scoresheet issues with No initials on some with different handwriting and colored ink on others. Those judges must have been picked up off the street again with no experience oh and she has her family and friends pick her favorites. Years ago score sheets were found in the garbage by contestants where they changed the scores.

Do you guys think the pageant was fair? Or do you think it was rigged.
It was very unorganized, the money to enter wasn't transparent, and the energy was terrible. So many people said that the same kids win Everytime because the judges know them and I believe it. So many people pulled that weren't as good as some that didn't win. It was a 2k ish after you added everything. I didn't realize you need to spend a house payment just to have a chance to win.

Here me out for a second - perhaps the ridiculously overbearing and large bow dead center on the upper bodice of her dress that consumed her may have over powered her beautiful face. Perhaps the intense competition in her age group should be respected and not diminished. Maybe the non national level patriotic wear she wore was overdone by the time her age group was judged and lacked originality? Saying that your child was done a certain way or robbed only implies that someone intentionally tried to hurt her and those that placed above her are not worthy of their accomplishments just because your child did not reach their personal goal. Your child’s personal best does not mean she was better than others on that particular day. It means she did great on her scale, not the scale of others and that’s what you’re paying for is if not, the opinion of others? It was not her day, bottom line. Don’t harden your child’s heart because of a singular unhappy placement. There were over 400 contestants at this pageant. You claim she stood out in a positive way to your friends and acquaintances, that is wonderful. She made her mark, just not at the level you wanted her to. I say and watched her entire group and even listened to spokesmodel she was not it. Thats just the way it is. On to the next. I’m sure she will win ultimate at every pageant after this. Or else now just maybe you might be wrong.

Ive been reading a lot of comments lately and think it’s time we have a fair system so I’ll be working towards creating that. Im going to make sure we have a 100% natural side and a high glitz end. Also when it comes to age and supreme groups ill make sure they make sense and if I have an 18+ they wont be going up against kids at all. Im also going to change up how judging is done and instead of each judge judging the whole child im going to make them judge based on certain things. One dedicated to modeling ability, one for appearance etc. then for awards it will be a crown all sash all. But the higher the title the more custom the crown/sash
I think it’s time we have a fair system

These last few pageants feel like a train wreck. Between unfair judging, crazy directors and the poor sportsmanship that has been displayed the last few pageants im sick of it. But my child loves it and loves seeing all her friends.
What does one do when as a parent you hate how the last few systems have been run. But your child loves the sport so much that she doesn’t care if she gets the ultimate because she’ll smile even with a princess title because she just loves the stage

Yall want to charge so much and wonder why your 0-4 divisions are so low. No matter how much we love pageants we understand that there’s a limit on how much we are willing to spend on the littles. The dresses are already high and so are the custom OCC and you really want me to spend thousands on a weekend for a 3 year old who by the time I get home is only going to remember that she got fries from McDonald’s.

If yall havent figured it out yet East Coast is 90% personality and who they can market for Disney, broadway or any other TV show.
It’s one of the few pageants where outfit doesn’t matter. You could wear a literal trash bag but as long as you look great and show confidence you can win.
You need to be marketable and confident to place. I don’t understand why yall are still upset. It’s almost been a week. Go compete somewhere else to get your mind off of this

They get hundreds at their state pageant and almost 500 at nationals
They are almost if not always taking in close to $500k a year or more
What benefit would rigging their system do. This isnt one of the smaller once a year pageants we all go to where everyone knows everyone and the judges are the directors friends who know every single contestant and the Mega just so happens to be the judges niece

You guys come on here and complain every single year saying it’s rigged. And that winners are picked in advance. And the same people win every year.

If so many of you think and firmly believe that it’s rigged why not go to the people who benefit from it and get answers. What is the worst thing that could happen?
If they say yes then you know it’s rigged. I doubt east coast would strip their title away and even if they did you would know it’s rigged so go buy a sash and crown online.

Do you guys think it would be a good idea for them to send out an overall divisional placement with scores? So if your kid/you didn’t make the top score in your division you’d at least know where you stood.
So let’s say there were 30 in the 9-11 division but your kid didnt place then when scores go out they can have at the top something like YOU PLACED 15th out of 30
I feel like they’re expanding a lot which is great but there’s so many huge national and international pageants out there that something like this will help set them apart. A big thing about pageants is learning and growing so even if you dont make the top 5 in your age division I think with a large group at least knowing where you stand can help tell you what to focus on

I was in the 20–29 division and I remember back stage during awards that a few girls were confused when their name was called for certain side awards. And I dont mean it as in “happy that they won” I mean it as in they were completely confused as to how they won certain things. I know we tend to doubt ourselves but there’s a huge difference between self doubt and being completely thrown off.
The best way I can describe it is imagine knowing for a fact you completely messed up something like runway. Like no doubt in your mind that you messed up and your coach knows you messed up. But you win anyway. That was the expression some of the side award winners had backstage

This was my first year after hearing a lot of mixed reviews. Both good and the whole “winners are picked in advance “ so I decided to check it out.
My daughter has been competing ever since she was 18 months and we pretty much compete weekly. She’s 8 now and has been in over 300 pageants. She’s done natural, glitz, high glitz, semi and scholarship. You name it we’ve done it.
She’s placed as mega and ultimate. Very rarely does she not place or get queen. But if she does it’s no big deal.
So my honest take on east coast is that it’s not rigged at all. As an experienced pageant mom and former competitor myself this pageant is pretty hard. It’s not your typical scholarship pageant. It’s not like NAM or IUM. Yes they give out a fair amount of titles but you have to be more than a glitz kid and you can’t just be a scholarship kid.
Everything was well organized and we had a lot of fun. We didn’t place or win the optionals which is ok since it was our first time. But we will be back next year

My kid didn’t deserve to win. If anything they were off this entire weekend and even said they felt off and they couldn’t even see the judges because of how bright the stage lights were. But, let’s be honest something was truly off. And you’d think they’d be fair since it’s “the last pageant”

Definitely was rigged. I sat back and watched for months how they reposted and favored certain girls.. Girls from Australia, California and Florida obviously trying to promote their new coast to coast pageant. Girls I felt would win won and I know they knew they’d win ahead of time. Also what happened to this being a natural pageant? I thought no glitzy routines were allowed? Lol..They’re truly losing good people to a bunch of clout chasers and rich spoiled brats who have connections and it seems to be about who spends the most money. Whoever posts the most is things on Instagram. What a bummer. Some of the sweetest girls who were very deserving didn’t get anything…not to mention alot of the girls who win have won many times before.

I am Not new to the pageant world and I do have an expectation when it comes to attending a national pageant. The Charming Elite Pageant system is an absolute joke. After traveling more than 13 hours to the venue in Florida, we arrived at check-in our information was incomplete and not fully filled out with the information that was asked on the online application. So on the fly I had to take 20 mins and fill out our forms after I had taken an evening at home and had written very well thought out responses. All while keeping Ellee tidy and clean in her required white dress and I had all of our stuff in tow. A national pageant and nothing looked like more than a last minute hobby pageant. Photos were not displayed like she implied they would be. Not one nice photo opportunity set up anywhere or anything. The ad booklets were all in black and white and a bit blurry. The drawstring bags were cheap too. After finally finished up the forever registration, we made our way to the very laughable "dressing room". The director only rented one room the ballroom which wasn't impressive. I've seen better at the local VFW. She set up her stage in a way that the dressing room was behind the stage. The girls that arrived first were very greedy with space and the director also allowed the international and glitz contestants to have all of their stuff set up as well even though those pageants didn't start until the next day. The professional hair and make up were also set up in that space with an excess of space. A real dressing room was needed. After a long evening of optionals and registration on that first day which included 7 outfits for Ellee and 5 for myself we changed into required pajamas for a joke of a "PJ party". My girl was so disappointed. The director was so far behind she literally had a 10 minute gift exchange for the girls and then ran us off bc she had to be out of the ballroom by 8pm (she didn't even know that until that day). The "party" had no snacks no treats no nothing! We were required to bring a $5-$10 gift to exchange.That brings us to the 2nd day. At 9 am were the interviews which started late (nothing started on time). These of course were in white bottoms and an issued Charming Elite tee shirt. Well I noticed that some girls had on tank tops which were much more flattering and different from the rest. Come to find out that these contestants were very late entries and the director had added them after the numbers were issued and shirts were made. Apparently there was no actual cut off to register for this "national pageant". Interviews were unorganized and miserable too. We had to stand in line for more than an hour and was threatened over and over that if we talked much we would have points deducted and the dressingroom was closed. A dress rehearsal was supposed to start at 10 am for the main event that was to start at noon. It was so far behind we had a 15 minute rehearsal and I had to excuse myself so that I could have 15 minutes to get Ellee ready for Beauty (formal wear).
Opening number was a big ass flop. Taylor the director looked like she was dressed for a picnic and not a national pageant. It was so sloppy, unprofessional and unorganized. An absolute shit show and I was embarrassed to even be on the stage. When my girl was up ready for her introduction she didn't know what Taylor wanted from her since she was calling the girls up one at a time and that wasn't what was rehearsed. As we all know, Ellee has an excellent introduction and Taylor confused her and caused her to flop bc of the lack of organization.
After opening number, Ellee was waiting for me to get off the stage and get her out of her required pink wear and into her ballgown for the main event. The director literally gave me 5 mins and was calling for the littles. So I instantly was feeling pressured in an uncomfortable bullshit dressingroom with some disabled rude lady rolling all over everyone's stuff because she wasn't given a proper facility either. After all that was casual and state wear which as you can guess was a continuous cluster like the day before. Some of us Moms actually had a few minutes to chat and I found out that the 4-5 age group had a 6 year old competing against them. Her mom said she was a glitz girl only but the director begged her to put her in the national pageant. No fallbacks were ever posted about this pageant. All that was asked on the application were the childs ages and there was never a mention about fallbacks. Her handbook never mentioned fallbacks either. I messaged her that night and asked and she said it was posted but it absolutely was Not posted!!!
Not only in Ellee's group but in a couple groups the director seeked out Ringers and let them fallback or register late.
I woke up the next morning to a very shitty post about how some of us Moms don't understand fallbacks. I was told by another person that she was offered by Taylor the director to let her step daughter compete in a younger group than she was too so that she could be more competitive. Saturday was her glitz and international pageant at the same venue. We had group pics at 1pm and there was an advertised ice cream party. Well no party and we got one cupcake each was rushed out bc she had stuff to do. At 6:30 optionals awards were to take place and again started late. She awarded each division their awards but was running behind so she lumped Ms. Mrs. Modern and Prestige all together for one set of optional awards. Even though we all competed in separate groups. That made like 13-14 of us ranging in ages from 20 to 65 and all sizes. Well how fair is that?! I would not have spent hundreds of dollars on additional outfits and competed in optionals had I known she was making up the rules as she went along. Sunday was the main event crowning. Taylor Danielle gave this very lengthy tacky speech about banning people if anyone disagreed with any of the outcomes and was threatened to reconsider signing contracts if we didn't get a long with others. That she is running a business and she won't tolerate disgruntled contestants even if they felt treated unfairly or disrespected.
She had posted looking for a production crew but decided to do it all herself and actually asked the parents to volunteer their time and set up her stage and asked us to help break it down. She also leaned heavily on her state directors and tossed jobs onto them that they weren't ready for therefore resulted in the wrong music being played for Ellee and myself during our walks. Which is hard for a little girl to rehearse to one song for weeks then get played a different one on stage. She fired her MC during the pageant whom was doing a fabulous job. I heard that the MC was questioning the director about what she was doing and got canned (not sure on the exact facts). My girl beat all the other 4-5 year olds for the title of Grand Supreme but was outscored by the 6 yr old that slid in on a fallback that was never mentioned or written anywhere until the day of awards!!! My girl was cheated out of her prize package!
I have so much more I could tell about this shit show of a pageant system but I'll stop here. We spent thousands of dollars to be a part of this show and after we paid the rules were made up as she went along. We attend multiple pageants a month and have for 2 years and this by far our worst experience.

Amerifest nationals was a complete joke! So many parents are upset.
Lets first start off by saying, dont tell a child (well 2 contestants at that) they are going to supreme row and then tell the contestants they arent suppose to supreme and they actually got a lower title. What a humiliating thing for a contestant to experience.
Can we talk about peoples choice too. On the webpage it said it would close at 11:15. After 11:15 was over they decided to change the time to 3:30 and 4:00. Parents was under the impression their child won peoples choice until a mom was overheard talking to Diana about the reasons why they opened voting back up and why wasnt anyone aware, thats when the director decided to make a facebook post that voting was back open.
And then side awards were wrong for little miss because a contestant that didn’t compete in festive wear or casual wear won the award for best casual and festive. There was only one other kid that actually participated in these and the award should have went to her. The parents that wasnt suppose to receive the award told the director on stage during crowning to make it right, but the director told them it was fine and to leave. the mom that was suppose to get it was so upset. I can only imagine how messed up other scores were
Additionally, she had a well known pageant coache’s family member judging the star contestants while sitting right beside the other judges. All of the big titles were giving to this coaches clients.
