An'deren found Downey's motivations equally ambiguous, and was unsure of how to direct the conversation to a point where he could find out just what they were. He decided to simply buy time, and frowned a little. "It's terribly dusty back here. One would think the library was never used." Though I heard the princess -- and there was really only one of the two he'd refer to that way, at least in his thoughts -- was an avid reader. Not that I could have told, judging from her generally vapid expression. Maybe she reads love poetry. This last thought had more than a touch of distaste to it.
