I am glad Jim Woods, who I know as a good guy, took time to respond to my post. But, Woods fails to admit that he was planning on getting out of UNH for quite sometime. I am friends with of a couple of the players. They acknowledged Woods was really unhappy at UNH. Jim Woods, I am disappointed a connected guy like yourself would get out of coaching. I know you worked for Jim O'Brien at Boston College and worked for the Hoop Group for a number of years. Why not take a prep school job like say Tabor Academy or a DIII Head Coaching job like Brandeis? I know O'Brien could pull some strings with Auerbach or something to help you on that one. Hey, did Cupedo quit? Is he going somewhere else or what's the deal? Brent Cook is a good guy who payed his dues in the lower ranks. Nice to see he is moving up, even though I suspect Rowe's days are numbered at UNH despite the three years left on his contract. So much turmoil around the program. The guy Rowe hired from Newberry College should help out with improving the x and os of the program. There is no reason that UNH with the full scholarship alotment can't be a 500 or better program always finishing in the top half of the America East. As a UNH student and basketball fan I just hate to see the program beleagured.
By the way, Jim you do fail to admit that you know the program and your father inlaw are sinking fast. I can't see you leaving if you were coaching at winner. You have put so much into it. Coaches across the board leave bad situations for better ones. No argument! UNH is a bad situation currently.
