Subject: VA Tech - Hello Seth Greenberg!

Baron accepted an extension at URI which will keep him under contract through the 2013 season. He also got a comp package which totals over $425K a season, plus a commitment from URI to improve support facilities. This should make the short probation they're probably going to get seem a bit more tenable. Latest from URI is that there was some grade changing going on under Harrick.

So, who gets the Va Tech job? According to the Roanoke newspapers (see link below) the VT Athletic Director asked for permission to talk to Everhart, and O'Brien temporarily denied the request so he could work on Everhart's extension, and once the extension was agreed to, Everhart said he wasn't interested.

Hoop Scoop still thinks it could go to Wolffie or, get this, Steve Lavin. The Roanoke newspapers thought the job would be offered to Ed Dechellis before he took the Penn State job.

Here's the link to the most recent story from Roanoke which indicates that South Florida coach Seth Greenberg will be offered the job. I wonder if there are any good kosher delicatessens in Blacksburg.
