I did check this site and all it says is she's a division 5A first team all star. I also saw something that says she averaged about 15 points per game. She sounds like a good player, but I think you're getting a little carried away with this.

--Hey, I'm just quoting what other Texas coaches said. Maybe we have another "Joey Beard": a very good high school player with great pedigree, but not good enough to make her great. I know for a fact that she did not choose Texas A&M (a Big 12 team) because the coach got fired. Still, just cracking the state of Texas in women's basketball recruiting is a great achievement. Seems like Assistant Coach Kathryn Otwell, who's from West Texas, is doing her job.

-- Whoa! Seems like Coach Wolff is aggresively recruiting in-state talent. I would not want to see a drop-off in talent since graduation will take a toll. And no, I did not read the Boston Globe since I live in Texas. Unfortunately, I do not have vacation time left this year, but probably next year I will fly to Beantown and catch a few games. Send my regards to the Men's Basketball Staff. Also, ask Women's Basketball Coach Kathryn Otwell to show you the Erica Kovach video. A few non-believers out there think she's a lot of hype. -Ed
