I have to echo Jeff's sentiments. I'm sure we're not impressed with Voy. The question remains, are there greener pastures, and what can we do about it?

Okay, see my thoughts on voy over on the Maine board as well. All I can say is, you get what you pay for...

Just browsing... -- BM-GW, 15:36:14 05/30/03 Fri
..and saw this thread. We at the A-10 board had had enough of Voy and decided to move on to BasketballBoards.net. No popups, spam etc. (as of now). There is already a AE board set up there.
BasketballBoards.net AE board

BasketballBoards.Net -- VCUBigE, 10:42:24 06/12/03 Thu
as an impartial observer, I feel the AE site there is heads and shoulders above this site technically and is already set up for your use.If you are that dissatisfied with VOY why not use it in the short term until you can design something else.

Re: Whats up with this board? -- Bainsey, 10:35:27 06/09/03 Mon
Either what Hollis or Glider mentioned would be an improvement over Voy. If you want to attract more fans, you need a more attractive package that also gets the job done (in other words, substance with a little style). Let's also remember how SLOWLY this board loads sometimes, which says a lot considering there isn't much behind it.
One other reason: If those other boards are linked with similar boards of the major conferences, wouldn't it benefit our conference to have some occasional interaction with their fans? We can't represent if they don't know who we are. If the college sports community is elsewhere, and "our site" is sitting there waiting for us, wouldn't we foolish not to grab it?

So...what do we all think? -- Go Cats Go, 03:26:38 06/11/03 Wed
This issue was raised earlier, and now that it's the off-season, it'd be a good time to finally decide. So...
This suggested board is certainly a good option. Also, last time we had this discussion, having a board similar to that of Siena's on the Arborwood system was suggested and well received. So, how about this: anyone who HASN'T checked out either of these boards yet, do so, and reply to this thread. We'll see where people stand, and we'll FINALLY make a decision on this (mostly because I've been dragging my feet lately, but I digress). Deal?

Another thing to consider is that through ACCbbs... (more) -- Glider, 09:03:17 06/11/03 Wed
each school gets a forum. So if/when more fan support grows, they will have a home.
I get nothing out of it and it's free. But I figure it would be ideal for all the ae boards to be together.
Perhaps a collection (donation) link could go up for a domain like "AEbbs.com" or "AEfans.com", etc.
I could also design t-shirts, and other items and make them availble for sale for anyone interested.
Just bouncing some ideas. Anyone interested can email me.

As I've said before, just check us (basketballboards.net) out...the AEast board there doesn't have much participation at the moment, but if you guys do in fact decide to come over, it can become a great board...It already is set up great, will NEVER have popups,etc... Please don't think I'm spamming...I emailed GoCatsGo but haven't gotten a reply yet...

Basketballboards.net gives you an opportunity not only to post on an AEast board, but every other college conference boards, boards for each individual NBA team, as well as other Misc. boards...
