I think only certain schools will have increased attendance, and only if those teams are winning:
Vermont - They should sellout most of their games this season. I expect them to lead the way in AE attendance and average around 3,000.
Binghamton - A new arena and improving talent should help them increase to about 2,500.
Albany - Improving talent and more wins should boost them to about 2,000.
The rest of the league will be a tough sell:
Maine - It will really depend how they start out the season. Some new fans might show up in 2nd half of season to see Markwood play. Probably around 1,500-1,800.
Boston U. - St. Joe's at home should draw 2,000, other than that....same old same old. 1,000-1,400.
Hartford - They are starting to be overshadowed by their women's team. 1,000-1,200.
Stony Brook - I get the feeling that football and lacrosse will be Stony Brook's bread and butter. Basketball?...1,000-1,200.
UNH - 600-800.
NU - Football has become king, hockey is #2......500-800.

I agree with most of your assessment with a couple of exceptions. I think that if SB is competitive, that they'll draw considerably better than you think. As for Albany, they draw well for a couple of games, such as when the play SB or someone special from outside of the conference. As for the rest of their games, they dramatically overstate the size of their crowds. For most of their home games attendance is an embarrasment, and you can literally count the few spectators who are present.

Interesting theory about how Albany fans flock to the RACC to see Stony Brook but I think it's a bit off. This year's Stony Brook game drew 910. Below our average attendence and one our lowest home conference games of the year. Granted the game was held on Valentine's Day which probably wasn't a good night for most guys to go to a hoop game.

Dane, Your average attendance if you eliminate your "Dane Growl" or whatever you call it, was 881. Other than that particular event, your biggest draw seems to have been vs Binghamton, which is listed as 1647. I have a friend who's a Binghamton alum who drove out from CT for that game, and he said that he thought there were maybe 500 people there.
Look, my point is that we should continue to nurture the rivalry between SB and Albany, and then maybe we'll be able to fill both of our arenas when we play each other.

I agree with this projection to a point: in addition to a good fan showing for St. Joe's, the UVM game should draw well, especially if the two teams are neck and neck for first at the time. However, I don't think we'll get 2,000 for the St. Joe's game as Case only holds 1,800, and there are (as far as I know) no plans to use Walter Brown during the regular season.
The UVM fans travel well, and I would expect a few hundred (I think about 100 or so came last year) coming this year to support the defending tournament champs. A pretty good rivalry seems to be developing between the two schools.
Also, I saw on the UMBC athletic website that their fans are projecting BU as that school's new rival (by a wide margin). If some of their fans travel, as well as more fans from other teams (this assumes if conference home attendance increases, some of these people will also go to a few away games), it should help attendance across the board.
Boston's a winner's town -- IF the Terriers make a good out-of-conference showing (maybe an upset at Michigan or BC), AND the promotions department gets its act in gear to provide fun stiff to attract students, the average BU fan attendance should increase, too.
Or maybe this is wishful thinking on my part.
