Note: I'm not sure if the conference makes picks regardless of position, but I did....hence a lot of pitchers on the rookie team.

IF the Black Bears win the AE Tourney in Burlington, they would host a Regional at Mansfield Stadium (Stephen King's "Field of Screams") in Bangor. The regional would most likely include 2 "big name" teams as well as Maine and another team from the Northeast.

They also choose Pitcher of the Year, which I think will be Dixon (his 9-0 record will beat Merchant's sub-1.60 ERA). I agree with your other Award choices...seem mostly like slam dunks.

For reference, the First and Second Teams are chosen by position (9 position players and 2 pitchers). All-Rookie Team is chosen regardless of position. Last year, they chose 9 players (7 hitters, 2 pitchers). I'll admit, I'm not nearly as familiar with the rest of the league as I am with UVM, but the only rookie I can think of that might have a shot from the Cats (other than Brault) is 3B Jay Iannoni. Of course, NU's got some talented guys that will warrant spots, which will limit who else gets on.

Should be a great weekend for baseball!

Thanks for the clarification GCG. I don't know enough about the league to choose the 2nd Team.
