Agreed...but it sounds like UNH is doing a good job. UA has 6'8 Hughes, 6'7 Martin (a very nice combo who played on nearly every allstar team in CA), 5'10 lights out IATI and Lucious Jordan coming in year two. Plus...we have some very interesting walk ons coming (the creative walk on situation). We had a 7 footer on campus last week and had a nice 6'5 combo guard from a very good pedigree in Texas on campus last weekend. We lost out on the Husek sweepstakes (he signed w/ St. Louis), but the key is the AE is just losing out on very solid players. I dont see the Patriot, NEC, or CAA making any major acquisitions lately. Of course these are conferences we expect to be better than.

Though UNH had a tough year last year I think there were signs for the future(Shields & Dennis come to mind). If the Juco kids in the frontcourt can come in and really make their frontcourt into a cohesive unit they win many of the OOC games that they lost last year. The 2 guys that they are in the process of signing are freshman. While contributions would be great... they are still freshman and no matter how good they sound very few can change a teams destiny in their 1st year.Albany did a great job with Wilson and Levine but it's not often that 2 of the 5 freshman(like Albany had) gives you as much as they got last year.

I don't know anything about those guys but I hope they can come in and solidify your frontcourt.

A few of the CAA schools have some very good classes coming in(namely ODU,Hoftsra has some really good guards...I'm not a Sisti fan). They also have some impact transfers coming into the conference.Delaware actually signed a kid who was playing in CT(Avon Old Farms) today who is 6'10 240.Big kid but I've never been impressed.Maybe I've seen him at the wrong times as I've only seen him twice(which in my book is not enough to judge a kid only to get an impression).

Please don't take this as hype - but UA's incoming class is probably as good as last seasons. Iati SHOULD be much better offensively and defensively then the 5'6" Oopong who did a nice job for us. Martin SHOULD have the same impact that Levine had and they have signed a solid 6'8" post player and are close to signing another post player. With that said the Danes should be much improved and atleast competitive.

Since the AE4 came into the league, the quality of hoops down there has really sunk quickly. Losing Richmond and East Carolina really hurt those guys. I think Delaware losing Brey and Hofstra losing Wright has really hurt those programs. They couldn't have picked a worse time to lose those coaches.

By the way, does everyone else feel that UMBC is a better addition from Baltimore than Towson was? I think that their program has more upside potential.
