Subject: Questions for Will
Will, what do you know about the Austrailian kid Phil Rowe just inked? He is 6-8 and may help in the frontcourt. Maybe international is way the wildcats should go. Karalis had a nice year for unh. Is Cori Boston still going to come to UNH? Did admissions accept him? Why wasn't Matt Bonner at Portsmouth Invitional with his other Florida teammates. Here is a rumor for you, Bu assistant Larry Greer will leave Boston U to join Paul Biacardi at Wright State. Is it better to be the top assistant at Wright State versus Boston University. Personally, I think BU is better but, the paid may be better at Wright State. Wolff will probably promote everyone up. Would Larry have a shot at the head job if Wolff opts for Fordham? Wolff would be lucky to get Fordham considering his woeful coaching job versus Vermont in the Ae title game. Plus, recruiting has been suspect in recent years at BU. He needs to do better getting qualit y big men that hurt the Terriers this past season.

I know almost nothing about any spring recruits. I have no real inside info, I'm just an alum/fan. Others on this board may know something.
Karalis had a pretty good year, his problem was consistency (same with Shejdie Childs). He should be solid next year. Going international is only going to help the UNH program. The international players have better fundamentals and many have played in different international tournaments.
I don't think Cori Boston is going to UNH. The rumor is he's going to Northeastern, although none of the NU fans on this board know anything about it. Also heard he's being recruited by some A-10 schools.
I'm not sure if Matt Bonner will get drafted. He should've played at Portsmouth. 2nd round at best. He could make it off the bench as a 3-point shooter. Who was that tall white guy from the Houston Rockets that just retired a few years ago that only shot 3's? Matt Bullard! He had a long career in the NBA and was a Bonner-type. You never know. Bonner has a great jumper.
UNH could finish anywhere from 4-10 next year, real crapshoot after UVM, NU, and BU. Much depends on the new players, especially Walls.

I don't see Bonner getting picked. He is a lousy one on one defender and lacks the foot speed to matchup with the best small forwards and power forwards in the world. My guest is many foreigners will again be taken in June's draft and that could limit Bonner's chances of landing somewhere in the second round. I figured since you were a notable Granite Stater you may had some inside information on why Bonner wasn't at Portsmouth. Both Justin Hamilton and Brett Nelson did attend that senior orientated draft combine. Was he sick, injured, family emergency etc. I thought you might know? Anyways, there is another rumor about Shejide Childs possibly transferring closer to home because he hates Phil Rowe. Will, unfortunately this could be Will Chavis all over again despite no change in coach. Childs though is the best Wildcat since Matt Alosa. His AAU Coach Gil Crosby of the Philly Hoops program is a friend of mine and he conveyed Shejide's situation to me knowing I am a Wildcat fan and alum. Say the Wildcats do get Boston than their class would be excellent. Let me know what's going here and whether or any other Wildcats may leave?

If this happens, the AD should fire Rowe immediately. They can't afford to lose Childs. How can you have a program where every decent point guard transfers after his freshman year?
Hopefully this doesn't happen and is just a rumor!

The Greer rumor isn't a rumor - it's a done deal. I posted last night that he's going to Wright State, they issued a press release yesterday about it.
As for Cori Boston to NU, I haven't heard anything. NU has no scholarships to give, so if he's coming, it's on his nickel.

Nu guy, I thought because Cori Boston is from nearby Charlestown,Ma, he would qualify for NU's outreach program for inner city youth and would attend tuition free because of that specific program. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe the program is for kids from Sommerville, Cambridge, Charlestown and Roxbury. Cori is a great kid I hope he does wind up somewhere in the America East.

He is from Charlestown, and (if I remember the program properly) it's primarily for non-qualifiers, so I tihnk even if he came to NU, I don't know if he'd be eligible this season.

>>>It's amazing that a kid can go to prep school and still not qualify but yet a guy like Everhart must be confident he can get him a degree at NU. It say's alot about a kid academically if he can't get it done with an extra year!
