Subject: National Crew Rankings

99% of the posters on this board don't care about crew, so read on...Any sport where you need a bicycle to follow or have to stand on a bridge to watch does call into question its "watchability".....

Pre Season Men's Heavyweight Crew rankings are out.. NU is #5, BU is #19. Cal (Berkley) is preseason #1 and Washington is #2.

Women's Crew (Which is an NCAA sanctioned sport, men's crew isn't) will have their annual rankings posted shortly.

Just for curiosity, do any other AE schools have rowing programs that compete at a national level?

Does NU give scholarships for crew?

Men's and Women's Crew both offer scholarships, to the best of my knowledge. I dated a member of the women's crew when I was in school, and she was on a ride.

Ironically, they generally also have the highest GPA of all sports teams at NU.

UNH has Women's Crew. To be honest I don't know at what level they compete or to determine anything from their schedule.
