Subject: For you animal.....AE Baseball stuff

Updated RPIs (through April 13 games):

#101 Vermont (13-4)
#132 Stony Brook (17-8)
#180 Maine (19-7)
#211 Albany (9-18)
#237 Northeastern (6-11)
#248 Hartford (2-18)
#253 Binghamton (5-20)

Conferences:

#14 Big East
#17 CAA
#19 Atlantic 10
#23 AMERICA EAST
#24 Ivy
#26 Patriot
#27 MAAC
#31 NEC (last place)

It's looking like a 3 team race (Vermont, Stony Brook and Maine) for the regular season championship and the #1 seed in the AE Tourney at Burlington.

Vermont swept Siena on Tuesday to move to 15-4. Stony Brook beat Marist and is now 18-8.

Maine is ranked #8, Vermont #13 and Stony Brook receiving votes in the latest Northeast Region Poll (76 D-1 programs) according to the latest poll at www.collegebaseballinsider.com.

A story appeared in last weeks Bangor Daily News announcing improvements to Mahaney Diamond, UMaine's on-campus baseball facility. The $215,000 project will include permanent restrooms, concessions and pressbox expansion. New backstop netting, installation of box seats, and a new sound system are already underway. This should ensure that the University of Maine will be a future candidate for NCAA Regionals, even though America East will probably never let Maine host the conference tourney again....pretty ironic. Good enough for the NCAA, but not good enough for America East.....what a petty lttle conference.
