Subject: Bids

Anyone know who has submitted bids to host either men's or women's tournaments? I think that they were due in the conference office around now.

According to article in Bing paper (linked in an earlier post), only bidders expected: UHart, BU and Bing.

Question to BU fans out there: Why did BU bid? It sounded like they were coerced into hosting this year as part of the two-year deal with Matthews and, from all appearances at the event, wanted no part of it.

What happened to Vermont? Thought they'd be very interested in hosting.

I have no inside information, but I can speculate that any BU bid may be tied to the opening of the new sports complex in late 2004, early 2005.
