I was spanked 2 or more times a month by my mom for about two years. Then as I started high school, became very disciplined playing football and golf, good grades went with it and I just changed. In fact I remember at my 15th birthday, mom took me for my annual check-up, and as I got undressed, mom playfully smacked my bare bottom and mentioned how long it had been since she had to spank me.
