One more question...I don't want to ask too many because I don't want to deplete all the information that will be featured in your upcoming book...

I have almost the entire collection of Bill Griggs's Rocking 50s magazines.
And in the issue that features the BH auction; he describes a scene of where Maria Elena and Larry Holley (with his wife Maxine) arrive for the auction.
Before the auction Maria is smiling, posing for pictures and signing autographs.
Larry is very quiet and already distressed looking.
Maria goes off to another room and Larry and his wife sit and watch the auction and as Buddy's stuff is being sold at lightening speed Larry begins to cry and is comforted by his wife. Someone even mentions to Bill that this auction is breakng Larry's heart. Even Bill admits he himself gets teary eyed over watching Larry's emotional pain.
Now...my question.... Was this auction a joint effort with Maria and the Holleys..
Or did this happen after Maria secured the rights to all of Buddy's image/copyrights?
And she decided to sell his stuff and forced the Holleys to go along with it?

I was at the BHC this past Sept for his Birthday Bash and could not help but see how much of his stuff was "on loan" by people not even related to Buddy and his family.

Also, on one of the private FB BH pages someone wrote that the reason Maria was not at the official opening of the Buddy Holly Center was because she demanded a fee to show up.

Like I've written, I've read a lot of alleged behaviors of Maria and I'm trying to shift through fact and fiction.
