G'day Roddy,

The guitar part didn't bother me in the slightest, as it's what is played on Lou Giordano's recording of the song. "Stay Close" actually came on on the ipod in the car today, so I cranked it up to have a good listen. The "demo" is nearly correct as far as the guitar part goes.

If the voice had have been more consistent, and not sounded like like a collage of bits (think Pauline Pantsdown); it would have been a tough call to make as whether or not it was authentic. Perhaps if whoever put it together had made sure that the voice was spliced from 'dry' vocals (no reverb/echo or other effects), they might nearly have pulled it off.
