They were extremely young and at the venue they were going
to play records and lip sync to the records which wound up
getting broken. This forced them to actually vocalize which
was probably a good confidence builder for them.
I only saw about 10 seconds of the clip before the weatherman
decided to preempt the rest of the show but I would say
the oldest one of them at the time was early teens if that
old.
I believe they did have their hair slicked back, but I
wouldn't bet the farm on it.
They certainly weren't professionals at this point but just
young kids wanting to have a band and make music.
If you get stumped I'll come up with a clue.
